Courses and training
git-github-training
Course materials · Active · R
Structured teaching materials, practices, and reusable resources for learning Git and GitHub through a progressive version-control workflow.
Teaching infrastructure
Scientific Training Template
Teaching template · Reusable template · Python
Reusable Quarto structure for classes, workshops, short courses, technical training, and semester teaching, with modules, labs, exercises, metadata, and reproducible publishing.
Authoring and inclusion note. Teaching repositories are independent scholarly resources, not folders copied into the personal website. Actual courses, classes, workshops, or training activities use type-training; the reusable Scientific Training Template uses type-template. New lesson material should normally use Quarto (.qmd), while notebooks and executable code remain appropriate when they serve the learning objective. A teaching repository may publish its own Quarto site under qselmer.github.io/<repository>/. Inclusion requires a defensible learning purpose or sequence, sufficient documentation, explicit provenance and attribution, and a canonical public source. Practice repositories, clones, copied tutorials, and partially adapted external material are not presented as authored teaching activities until their pedagogical structure and provenance are clear.
